It really sucks when your family won’t come to your high school graduation open house because another family member graduates from nursing school that day. But you have already went that persons high school open house and nothing for me. But I guess its okay if you go there, that doesn’t offend me at all. I will just enjoy my only high school open house without my relatives.

I don’t know what it is tonight but I can’t stop thinking about you. I know that you are watching down on me and I hope I have made you proud. Seeing your smile when I made you proud was one of the best ways to fill up my heart. I can still hear your laughter at me when you sent me through the cherry tomato garden. Saying that the bigger ones where in the middle so I had to crawl through the prickers to get the best ones. I tried so hard to find that big one for you, but all I got were the little cherry size ones. I wonder why. Even though I went through the trouble I’m glad you had me do it, it gives me these wonderful moments to look back on the time we spent together. The memory that sticks out the most is you always taking my binki away and hiding it. Well you would be happy to know that I no longer have it (for many many years now) and it can happily be yours ;) I am now about to graduate from high school and I know you will be with me. Can you believe that the last grandchild is graduating? Yes it’s true, we are all growing up now and in many ways being just like you. It has been hard without you these past 5 years and I’m going to have more hard times when I wish you could be there. But I know that you will be there in some way to bring me more ups than downs. Because that’s just the kind of person you are, I love you and miss you so much, more than words can express.  Grandpa you were the best person I knew.

The second I saw these gloves I thought of my grandpa. When I first saw this photo I giggled a little because it reminded me of one of the best memories. Every year around Christmas the elementary school would have Santa’s Workshop and the students would buy there family’s presents. I would always get these gloves for my grandpa every single year. Even though my gift was known, each time he got a new pair of gloves he would be happier than the last time. I can still see his loving smile as he would lean over to hug me and kiss me on the forehead to say thank you. <3 September 25, 1941 - December 14, 2007 <3
